My favourite thing about the latest Twitter meltdown is all the artists reanimating their dead Tumblr accounts today and immediately being greeted with hundreds of notes because even a Tumblr account they literally have not posted to in 3–5 years has more active and engaged followers than the Twitter account that they’ve been updating daily.

If society agrees that children can know themselves, and have a right to self determination…. Everything else that Conservatives argue they have a right to exert over children crumbles. As just two examples….

ALL corporal punishment rightfully becomes recognised for the assault it is.

Failure to appropriately consider the wishes of children in medical care and provide information in an age appropriate way is recognised as child abuse and malpractice.

Children are entire people, they deserve all of the rights, privileges and protections afforded to adults.

i love threat displays because they range from “this is your final fucking warning” (lying) to “this is your final fucking warning” (deadly serious, if you fuck with me you will only have yourself to blame for what happens next)

and now i’m thinking of an intelligent predator that intentionally plays on the expectation that a threat display is a diversion tactic used by prey animals to allow them to escape in order to lure its victims by convincing them that it’s all bark and no bite

Hello everyone.

I’m trying to find help covering shelter and food while I try to get our little family back on our feet. We have been homeless for a long time now and even with my new job, we aren’t making enough to keep sheltered, buy food, or cover our bills. We can’t pull out of this rut until we can find long-term shelter so I am doing everything I can to try and find stability but I need all the help I can get to make that happen. It has been very cold and rainy and between that and us constantly getting sick, we cannot afford to go without a roof over our heads.
